Shop. Donate. Divert.
Everything ReStore
Habitat ReStores are non-profit home improvement stores run by local Habitat chapters. They sell new and gently used furniture, appliances, building materials and home décor — donated by individuals, builders and retailers — at a fraction of retail prices. Every purchase and every donated item helps fund Habitat's affordable homeownership work in that same community.

ReStoreFunds local builds
ReStore proceeds help cover the operating costs of the local Habitat chapter, so more of every donation goes straight into building and repairing homes for families nearby.
Keeps waste out of landfill
Reusable furniture, cabinetry, fixtures and building materials are diverted from landfill each year and given a second life in someone else's home.
Makes homes affordable
Neighbours can furnish, renovate and repair their homes for less, while volunteers gain retail and warehouse experience alongside the Habitat team.
What ReStores accept
Donation guidelines vary slightly by location, so check with your local store — but these are the items most ReStores are looking for.
- Furniture in good, resaleable condition
- Appliances less than 10 years old and in working order
- Cabinets, countertops, doors and windows
- Lighting, plumbing fixtures and hardware
- Flooring, tile, lumber and surplus building materials
- Home décor, art, rugs and small housewares

Donate listing clean-outs
When a client is downsizing or renovating, a ReStore donation keeps quality items out of landfill and funds local builds. Many stores offer free pickup.
